How do I maintain the battery in my Waterboy?
The Waterboy battery is maintenance free.For a long trouble free life keep the battery fully charged up.Leaving the battery drained for any period of time can damage the battery and may render it useless and requiring replacement.We strongly recommend removal of the battery for charging in all models where this facility is available. During periods of the year that you are not using your Waterboy charge the battery from time to time -once a month will be adequate.

What do I do when freezing temperatures are likely?
Freezing water expands and can damage the Waterboy tank so if freezing is likely just empty the tank by removing the green lid at the bottom of the tank and letting the water drain out.Then,when the tank is empty run the pump for about 15 seconds to drain the water from the pump and pipes.You wont damage the pump as Waterboy is fitted with a top quality pump which can run dry without damage. The whole procedure only takes a couple of minutes.

What does the Waterboy warranty cover?
Waterboy's 12 month warranty covers any situation where a mechanical part fails in normal use. (ie when Waterboy is being used as the manufacturer intended)All you need to do is contact us, return the Waterboy to our factory or to your local distributor and the parts will be replaced free of charge.Of course we can't cover damage to hoses ,connectors ,sprayhead or other parts which are vulnerable to accidental damage but we offer a full list of replacement parts at very reasonable prices and deliver the parts to your door. |
I want to fit a waterboy in my lorry.Will it suit?
We have Waterboy horsewash fitted in all sorts of vehicles all over Europe and in every type of horse lorry.We supply a "universal bracket" which makes it possible to fit the Waterboy almost anywhere that a little space is available. When you order your Waterboy at www.waterboy.ie or from your local distributor ask for a universal bracket to be supplied with it. |
I have a seven year old Ifor Williams HB510.Do you supply a Waterboy to suit it?
Yes! The standard Waterboy 80 fits in all Ifor Williams double horse trailers including the new HB506 and HB511 models.The Waterboy is supplied complete with fitting brackets for all HB505, HB510,Classic, Epona, HB506 and HB511 models AS STANDARD.

Can you tell me how to fit the Waterboy in my trailer?
First let me say that it is very easy and requires no drilling at all.There is only one bolt to be fixed and tightened.Go to www.waterboy.ie and click on "fitting Waterboy" video which shows a Waterboy being fitted to a trailer.Seeing is believing! |
Can I use shampoo in my Waterboy?
We don't recommend using chemicals in Waterboy as it is difficult to get it clean enough again to give drinking water to your Horses.Our accessories section contains a special sprayhead which will add shampoo to your water without contaminating your tank of water.It is especially useful for treating horses for skin conditions like rain-scald etc as it regulates the concentration of chemical added to the water.

Q.I turned on my Waterboy,the battery charge inndicator shows green but no water will come out.
A.1.Make sure that the nozzle on the handset is not fully closed.Rotate anti-clockwise and try again.
A2. Ensure all connectors are attached to control panel

Q.I turned on my Waterboy but no water came out and the pump keeps running.
A.Check that there is water in the tank . |
Q.The battery charge indicator is in the yellow area.
A.Charge your battery. It takes about 4 hours but you can leave it longer as the charger will turn off automatically when the battery is fully charged. |
Q. I was using my Waterboy but it suddenly stopped.
A.1. The WATERBOY has a thermal cut-off switch that protects it against overheating .If you use the Waterboy continuously for more than about 20 minutes this cut-off switch turns off the machine until it cools down to a safe working temperature.
A2.The fuse has blown.The Waterboy has a safety fuse in the wiring to further safeguard the user.In the unlikely event of an electrical fault the fuse may blow. Have the machine checked by an approved dealer before replacing the fuse.
